Originally from Long Island, New York, Jordan Jacinto studied screenwriting and acting at Chapman University before developing his first screenplay with mentorship from Academy Award Nominee, Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale, Bullets Over Broadway). In 2015, Jacinto made his directorial debut with the short film, Laguna Sleep, which he also wrote and starred in. After sending the film to Kevin Connolly (Entourage), Connolly offered Jacinto a part in his John Gotti biopic, GOTTI, starring John Travolta. In addition to realizing his filmmaking goals, Jacinto has also developed his acting craft with the New American Theatre in Los Angeles.
Amir Malaklou grew up in Irvine, California before studying acting at Chapman University. He soon landed a role in Ben Affleck’s Academy Award Winner, Argo (2012), then went on to work with Academy Award-nominated actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, in Secret in Their Eyes (2015, Billy Ray). In addition to appearing on Major Crimes (TNT), The Fosters (ABC FAMILY/FREEFORM), and Doubt (CBS), Malakou also co-produced 2017 Slamdance Anarchy Honorable Mention, Horshoe Theory (Jonathan Daniel Brown). Malaklou can be seen next starring alongside Academy Award Winner, Susan Sarandon, in The Viper Club (Maryam Keshavaraz) and in Academy Award Winner, Adam McKay’s Vice, starring Christian Bale.
From Boston, Massachusettes, Marissa Messina graduated from Chapman University’s competitive Creative Producing program, then immediately landed gigs working on X-Men: New Mutants (Fox), Slender Man (Sony), and SMILF (Showtime). Soon after, Messina secured a position with top MP Production Agent and Partner at ICM, Paul Hook, who represents powerhouse below-the-line clients including three-time Academy Award Winning cinematographer, Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki (The Revenant, Birdman, Gravity). Nevertheless, Messina continues to produce short films including G.R.E.T.A. (The Student Academy Semi-Finalist).
A Long Island-native, Garrett Weaver completed NYU Tisch School of the Arts’ coveted Cinema Studies program before moving to Los Angeles. Weaver quickly landed a role in acquisitions at eOne Films, then began developing his own scripts with writing and producing partner, Sam Kressner. The two have packaged multiple upcoming projects, including Light on Broken Glass with Academy Award Nominated Actress, Patricia Clarkson. Weaver’s other film includes Critic’s Choice Award Nominated actor, Chris Messina, and Sundance breakout director, Peter Sattler.
